Welcome our new Director to the Board

We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the Board, Susan Huria, effective 1 November 2023, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organisation. Susan, joins us as a Board Director with a remarkable track record in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, making her an invaluable asset to our team.



A brief overview of Susan's extensive experience is outlined below:


1. Diverse Sector Experience: Susan possesses a rich and diverse background in various sectors, including infrastructure and property, aviation, agriculture, horticulture, FMCG, professional services, and primary healthcare. This broad industry exposure enables her to provide valuable insights and strategic guidance across a wide range of fields, ensuring a well-rounded perspective in our decision-making processes.


2. Exemplary Governance Record: With over two decades of experience, Susan has served on the boards of private and public companies, Iwi-owned enterprises, not-for-profit organisations, and community initiatives. This diverse governance background demonstrates her adaptability and deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that different entities face.


3. Special Interest in Māori Governance: Susan has a special interest in Māori governance and has facilitated governance workshops for over 20 iwi groups. Her expertise in this area is a valuable asset as we strive to strengthen our commitment to Māori governance principles and ensure that our organisation respects and integrates the unique cultural values and perspectives of Aotearoa New Zealand.
